  • Create a site to enable good quality writing, with a solo chart, get the class to create digital word wall? Sentence starters, exemplars of good quality writing, literacy goals,
  • Parent portal - Hapara access? Do our parents have this?
  • Add my bitmoji or photo to my learning site
  • Plan my learning site - check out the notes from todays session - remember the 3 click rule,
  • Insert an image carousel onto the learning site
  • Update learning site with photos, maths planning, add school site onto class learning site, links to maths buddy, reading eggs etc, multi modal sites

DFI Day 5

DFI Day 5

  • Use scratch or coding as part of maths medals each week to try and incorporate digital curriculum
  • Use planned deliberate teaching/digital lessons that are linked to the schools values/vision.
  • The class could screencastify their goals for the rest of the year and present these at the conferences and add to their blogs

Screencastify - WALT Write quality blog comments

Today at DFI we learnt how to use screencastify. I have created this video using the resources on the Maniakalani site. There is a really useful slide I will use with my students to try and unpack and look at what makes a quality blog comment.

DFI Day 3 - Notes Published from Google Keep

DFI Day 3

  • Creativity - Check out the doc created by teachers to help include creativity or examples of how you can incorporate creativity in all subjects (link on DFI agenda for today).
  • Creating a hook at the start of each term for Inquiry, main themes. Video, skits, song, artwork, poem, rap.
  • Multimodal - create, different outcomes. Same learning intention, different outcomes.
  • Creating multi modal learning sites - links to texts, videos, resources and templates that will help students with their learning. Can limit the browsing so they don't go off task.
  • Students to use sites to gather and collect all the learning from the term e.g. could have used a site to create their fact sheets about marine animals from Sea week.

DFI Day 3 - Collaborate using Multi Modal learning sites

Today at DFI we learnt how to create multi modal learning sites. I decided to try and create a Maori site to help when teaching Te reo and the history of New Zealand. This site is for both students and teachers with links to videos, websites and some lesson plans from myself and TKI.
