DFI Day 1 Reflection

My DFI team for the next 9 weeks!
It was interesting to learn about the history of Manaiakalani and how it all began. It was pleasing to see and hear how much it has developed and expanded out from its original starting point in Tamaki bay Auckland.
It has boosted my confidence in my own abilities in that I do actually know more than I think and I am already utilising the 1:1 chromebooks well within my classroom. It was interesting to learn some shortcuts, in particular some add-ons and extensions that could really support some of my reluctant readers and writers in my class. I will definitely be using the Talk and comment extension and voice typing add-on.
I'm excited to learn more from this digital fluency intensive course and can't wait to give things a go in the classroom!
